About Allie: Allie a technical consultant engineer for Cyrel DuPont Image Solutions. She has been with DuPont for the past four years specializing in plate optimization and specialty screening technologies.
Prior to DuPont, Allie received her Master’s in packaging science from Clemson University. She currently works with Clemson and Central Piedmont Community College to gain interest in the flexographic industry amongst high school and collage students.
Ann Michaud
Division Scientist, Global Application Engineering at 3M

About Ann: Ann Michaud is a division scientist, global application engineering, with 3M’s Industrial Adhesive and Tape Division. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
She has been with 3M for more than 30 years and has held positions in product development, product engineering and spent most of her career as an application engineer focused on the flexographic industry. She has been an active member of FTA, TCFA and has participated in many industry events.
Darris Smith
Technical Graphics Adviser at Harper Corporation of America
Speaker Bio
About Darris: Darris has more than 40 years in the graphics industry with 18 years as a press operator in both flexography and offset. He has experience operating narrow web, wide web and sheet-fed presses in the packaging and pharmaceutical industries. He also spent time in color matching, plate making and supervisory roles. His attention to detail led him to find a niche in process printing and being part of several teams to garner FTA awards.
Today, Darris provides his vast wealth of knowledge to customers all over the US via Harper Corporation of America’s Technical Solutions Group.
Steve Smiley
Principal at SmileyColor & Associates LLC

About Steve: Steve Smiley is a 35-year veteran from print, premedia and packaging brand solutions. Steve’s previous position was managing color across all printing types, commercial, direct mail and packaging, managing print globally. Steve is a proud member of the FTA family, participating at annual FORUMs.
As a brand manager, Steve has developed the tools for physical and digital standards to define common ingredients and aims across supply chain partners, along with supporting documents like ISO 12647-6 Flexographic Prints, ISO 17972-4 CxF X4 Spot Color Characterization Exchange Format and ISO 16761-2 Requirement for Packaging Supply Conformance and Test Methods. He is the recipient of the Holzinger Award, FTA President’s Award and the Clemson Top Cat Award. Steve has a degree in photography. In 2017, he was inducted into the FTA Hall of Fame.
